ASEAN International Youth Piano Competition (AIYPC) adapts to the digital age by facilitating both online competitions and physical performance awards, masterclasses and exchange programs.
Timeline for the 2026 Inaugural 2026 ASEAN International Youth Piano Competition will be as follows:

The Grand Gala Award Ceremony is open to all Gold, Silver, Bronze prize winners of each category to attend with their family and friends. This will be hosted on 30 May, 2026 at the Auditorium of the Wawasan Open University, Penang, Malaysia.
Performers at the Grand Gala Award Ceremony will be the highest-scoring Gold winner for the Graded Category. For Age Category and Professional Category, the highest-scoring contestant of each Gold, Silver and Bronze prize will perform.
The Rising Star Award Winner will also be performing at the Grand Gala Awards.
This will be followed by masterclass and workshop conducted by Denise Lutgens, winner of the Steinway Piano Competition in the Netherlands in the afternoon of 30 May, 2026. This provides a forum for participants to further refine their repertoire and learn from the best-in -class pedagogical masters in Europe. Application form will be sent out separately.
