Terms and Conditions for Performance Selection
Richard Clayderman’s “Forever Love Concert”, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, 14 June 2026
The following terms govern the selection and eligibility of winners of the ASEAN International Youth Piano Competition (AIYPC) 2026 online competition to perform live on stage with Richard Clayderman at the artist’s “Forever Love Concert”.
Article 1. Eligibility and Age Requirements

Participants must be official Gold winners in one of the 3 Categories - Age Category, Graded Category and Professional Category of the current AIYPC cycle.

Candidates must be between the ages of 4 years old to 15 years old as of the date of the scheduled performance on 14 June 2026.

Candidates must demonstrate technical proficiency and high standard of stage performance ability ensure musical synergy with the featured artist on stage.
Article 2. Selection and Participation Selection

Selection is based on the highest scores achieved for Gold awards across the 3 categories as determined by AIYPC official jurors committee.

Invitation letter from AIYPC will be sent to top 10 Gold Winners (excluding the Rising Star Scholarship Award winner who will be attending Sendai 20th Classical Music Festival in Japan) from the AIYPC online competition on 8May for interest to participate.

Mandatory repertoire (1 piece from Richard Clayderman’s collection) will be shared with all accepted winners by 11 May

Final Selection and Announcement will be conducted during masterclass with Denise Lutgens on 30May afternoon at Wawasan Open University Auditorium, Penang, Malaysia
Participation

Winners must be available physically in Kuala Lumpur on 14 June 2026 for all scheduled rehearsals, including mandatory sound checks and dress rehearsals on the day of the event. Details of timing will be updated closer to event

Parents or guardian of the performing winner must be present at the venue of the concert

A waiver of liability agreement MUST be signed by parent or guardian of the performing winner being under the Age of 18 years old

The event organizers and the artist’s management reserve the final right to change the selected repertoire to ensure alignment with the concert program. Performing winners will be required to adapt to new repertoire allowing sufficient time for practise

The Organiser retains the right to make final decisions on participant selection and on-stage appearances, and may adjust participation where necessary.

Should the Show be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, including Force Majeure, the Organiser will notify all relevant parties and provide updates on any next steps. No compensation of any kind shall be payable in the event of cancellation or postponement of the Show.
Article 3. Conduct and Logistics

All participants must adhere to specified time for rehearsal, sound and equipment testing and actual on stage performance time slot

All participants must adhere to professional decorum and dress codes (formal black tie or gown) as specified by the events organizer

Performing winners are responsible for his/ her own travel and accommodation arrangements including accompanying parents or guardian

The organizers reserve the right to revoke performance privileges if a participant fails to meet rehearsal requirements or breaches professional conduct guidelines
Article 4. Liability and Media Usage Rights

By participating, winners grant the event organizers and Richard Clayderman’s management team the right to use their name, image, and performance recording footage for media publicity, commercial and promotional purposes

The event organizers and AIYPC will not be liable for any personal safety, injury or loss of personal property occurring during the rehearsal or performance periods

The parents or guardian of participating winners must sign a standard release and waiver of liability form prior to the performance on stage.
